Leading the way with Product Innovations

Imdex strives to maintain strong customer loyalty by outperforming competitors with superior products and a high level of customer service. In keeping with this strategy, the Australian Mud Company (AMC) continually refines and develops new products to improve drilling efficiency. The company also focuses on developing environmentally acceptable products. Two new products recently introduced to the market are Biodegradable Hammer Oil and Superlube.

Biodegradable Hammer Oil

AMC recognised the need for an environmental alternative to the mineral based oils typically used for lubrication of down hole hammers and associated equipment. AMC undertook a substantial research and development program to identify suitable oils that could provide efficient lubricating and coating properties, without damage to the environment. The result was a castor based biodegradable hammer oil which is now recognised and accepted within the drilling industry.

Superlube

Superlube is a combination of a concentrated lubricant and biodegradable cutting oil. Development of the product commenced when one of AMC’s key customers required a high performance lubricant for deep hole drilling at the Kabanga project in Tanzania. The product performed very well and is now distributed throughout Africa. Superlube has also been tested in Australia and all feedback has been positive.
